A traditional Barbados sweet alcoholic cordial that's the key to making Caribbean drinks The liqueur has a Rum base, and is made with sugar cane, lime, almond and cloves. Key ingredient in the Barbados cocktail Corn 'n' Oil, when mixed with Barbados rum and bitters over ice. Taylor's Velvet Falernum was first created by John D Taylor of Bridgetown in 1890 Made at Foursquare Rum Distillery in St Philip, Barbados, one of the few remaining independent family owned producers in the Caribbean. The Distillery has been the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) Rum Producer of the Year four times, in 2016 through 2019 and the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) Rum Producer of the Year in 2016, 2018 and 2019.
