As with the Drehgriffel No. 1, the lead is extended by the twist mechanism in the Drehgriffel No. 2. The Drehgriffel No. 2 is made of precisely milled aluminum and brass, then painted and sealed. The pencil lead in the mechanical pencil is 0.7 mm in size. The reservoir in the body can hold up to 8 refills at a time.
