The gesso stiffens your canvases and creates the optimum absorbency for paint application, providing a professional standard, archival base to help maintain the longevity of your work. It is also a suitable surface for preliminary charcoal or pencil drawings. Suitable for use with acrylic and oil paints/mediums, graphite, pencil and charcoal, and chalk and oil pastels.
