Suitable for 6.5-inch and 8-inch in-ceiling speakers, it’s ideal for residential and commercial installations where building regulations and acoustic control are important. Manufactured from fire-retardant, intumescent materials, the hood helps to slow the spread of fire through ceiling voids. In the event of high heat, the material expands to seal gaps around the speaker cut-out, helping maintain the ceiling’s fire integrity and supporting compliance with UK building regulations.
