Long Grain Brown Rice: Though there are more similarities than differences between short grain and long grain brown rice, there are a few important variances in flavour and preparation. Long grain brown rice is not to be confused with jasmine or basmati brown rice. Despite having lengthy kernels, these kinds of rice are not the same as long-grain brown rice. Add rice to the pan, stir and return to the boil. Cover and simmer for 22-25 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat and fluff the rice with a fork.
