In moderation lies virtue. This is well understood at the Casa Los Frailes winery, located in the Vals dels Alforins region (within the D.O. Valencia), where they have achieved the perfect balance with Los Frailes Monastrell-Garnacha, a red wine in which both grape varieties-despite their distinct profiles-harmonise superbly. Regarding the monastrell, this winery lacks no experience, as it has traditionally been the most cultivated variety. Since its establishment in 1771, when an ancestor of the Vázquez family purchased the estate at a public auction after it was expropriated from the jesuits by Charles III, the Velázquez family has cultivated it with great expertise.
