Macán Clásico 2022 - Benjamin de Rothschild & Vega Sicilia

For this 2022 vintage of Macán Clásico, freshness was prioritised over density, resulting in their earliest harvest in the region. They also took care with the ageing in oak barrels to ensure the wood was well integrated into the wine, creating a juicier and rounder wine. This is the first year in which 100% of the yeasts were indigenous, and they aged the wine in barrelsonly 5% of which were American and 30% usedfor 10 months, with 25% in stainless steel vats. Upon aeration, the Mediterranean style comes to the fore with spices, candied fruit and garrigue. Great depth with a balance rarely achieved.
