This battery kit includes two Makita BL1830 18v 3.0ah batteries which are compatible with all tools from the 18v LXT cordless range, along with a dual port DC18RD battery charger. The DC18RD is a two port fast charger which is able to charge two Makita slide style Li-ion (or Ni-MH with an adaptor) batteries at the same time, in the same speed that the DC18RC takes to charge one battery. It can also be used for charging USB device from the USB port on front of unit.
