Marshalls Garden Cucumber Seeds 'lemon' 8 Seeds Round Yellow Variety

Lemon-yellow, spherical cucumbers with tender, sweet flesh that are ideal for salads and pickling. This heavy-cropping variety produces a long, fruitful harvest during summer. Sowing indoors: place seeds individually in 9cm (3 ½ in) pots of seed compost, pushing each large seed on its side 1cm (1/2 in) into the compost and keep at 20-25°C (70-75°F). As seedlings develop, grow on in cooler, bright conditions but avoid direct sun. Transplant young plants to grow bags, pots or a greenhouse border and provide string or cane supports. Gradually harden off plants for two to three weeks before planting out, spacing 30cm (12 in) apart. Outdoors, give a protected shelter or mini polytunnel as this variety prefers warmth. Regular picking encourages more fruit; water well and feed with a high-potash fertiliser once flowers appear to support flowering and fruiting.
