Euphorbia 'Martinii Ascot Rainbow' from Marshalls Garden has cream-and-green variegated leaves, flushed pink when new, and sprays of lime-green flowers with red centres in spring. Hardy and low-maintenance, it flowers in May to June, attracts pollinators and grows to about 1500 mm, preferring full sun and slightly acidic, well-drained soil. RHS AGM and British grown, it pairs beautifully with spring bulbs. For plugs: remove packaging, briefly soak the compost plug, pot into 9cm pots with potting-on compost, lift seedlings by the leaves (not the stem) and keep warm and moist until established. Always wear gloves when handling euphorbias, as the sap can cause skin irritation; avoid contact with the eyes.
