Marshalls Garden Monarda Seeds 'didyma Panorama Red'

Monarda didyma 'Panorama Red' produces abundant shaggy crimson blooms on tall stems and a spicy, summery fragrance that attracts bees and other pollinators. Sow indoors on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost and keep at 20°C until germination in 2-4 weeks, then transplant into 8cm pots and harden off before planting out in a sunny, well-drained position. Sow outdoors in late summer or early autumn in prepared soil and thin seedlings to avoid overcrowding. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged, divide large clumps every three years, and use flowers for cutting and leaves for potpourri. Pack contains approximately 40 seeds and plants reach about 750 mm at maturity.
