Sweet Slavus pepper seeds produce heavy crops of large conical Hungarian-type fruits that can be harvested green or left to ripen to red. Sow indoors from February to April: fill a module tray, water, sow seeds individually and cover with 1cm of fine compost. Keep at 18-25°C (65-75°F) in a propagator or warm room and keep moist. Transplant seedlings at 4-6 leaves into 9cm pots and grow on at a minimum of 15°C (60°F). Plant out into containers, greenhouse borders or patio positions when first flowers open, support stems with canes and feed weekly as fruit swell. Harvest July to October; plants reach about 900 mm and perform well in pots, raised beds and small gardens.
