MCCONNEL'S COGNAC CASK FINISH: The final release in our 5 Year Old Series. Our most premium expression in the range it is an exciting blend of Irish Malt Whisky and Irish Grain Whisky. THE PROCESS: Aged for five years, gently rested in first fill Bourbon casks and finished in only the finest Cognac casks selected by our Master Distiller Graeme Miller. NOSE: Sweet fruit aromas of macerated orange peel, juicy apricots, ripe banana and hints of warm vanilla mingle with delicate floral notes, underpinned by a subtle nuttiness from the Cognac cask influence. PALATE: Bursting with rich flavours of candied lemons and dried pineapple, followed by sweet tones of icing sugar, golden raisins and blonde chocolate. With a smooth, lingering finish accented by a hint of oak spice. UNFILTERED QUALITY: Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered to retain its full character and complexity. Each sip offers an authentic taste experience, allowing you to enjoy the whiskey as intended by the master distillers.
