Hand carved from a single piece of plantation grown Mahogany wood and decorated with horizontal ripples - representing water - it follows the traditional routes of the instrument. Easy to place and hold between the knees the goatskin head provides an authentic playing surface and tones. With 16 rope runners pre-stretched and tuned in the traditional Mali Weave system way this djembe is a great drum for drum ensembles right out of the box.
