The Kryos jacket was developed based on insights from some of the world's top alpinists-climbers who are increasingly opting for lighter jackets for challenging, high-altitude routes, all while seeking to minimize weight and pack size. Through extensive research and development, we aimed to create a jacket that would excel on the toughest climbs at 6,000 to 7,000m and the most significant modern Alpine winter routes, providing superior warmth and protection. The key to achieving this was the creation of our FIRESTORM™ construction, featuring a drop outer WINDSTOPPERⓇ shell that drastically reduces heat loss while enhancing weather protection, crucial for the most demanding climbs. Beneath this, a hybrid design of stitch-through and pleated baffles is optimized to maximize loft and warmth from the 234g of goose down.
