This higher shield keeps the wind off the rider's head and upper body. How many mm the respective MRA touringscreen is increased compared to the OEM screen you can see by having a look at the "ABE". To reduce the subpressure behind the windshield, some models have air inlets at the front, which improves the airflow at the end of the shield.
