Muga Fermentado en Barrica Blanco is a white wine from the DOCa Rioja, crafted by Bodegas Muga. The winery is situated in the historic Barrio de La Estación, in the town of Haro (Rioja Alta), a place renowned in the wine world for the exceptional quality of its wines and the concentration of century-old wineries it boasts. A unique place in the world. Muga Blanco is a superb Rioja blend of viura and malvasía. The addition of the latter variety imparts surprising freshness and fruitiness. Both varieties come from vineyards planted on clay-limestone and alluvial soils. In its production, Muga Blanco undergoes an 8-hour maceration in the press. Subsequently, the wine ferments in new French oak barrels where it rests on its lees for several months.
