The shield was custom designed to cover most Gibson Electric Guitars (Les Paul, ES-335, SG and more). Not designed for Gibson acoustics guitars. The tapered custom design has slot sizes that measure in width for the first 12 frets .145" (3.683mm) due to creative fret placement by guitar makers, and the remaining 10 frets are .125" (3.18mm). First fret Length: 2.095" (53.217mm). Last fret Length 2.497" (63.417mm). Fits all fret sizes (from narrow to jumbo) found on 6 & 7 string guitars. Our high quality stainless steel is the perfect thickness at .008" (.20mm). We use a precision manufacturing process free of burrs and leaves all edges smooth and rounded, so it protects the fretboard without damaging it. Rigorously tested and designed to be used with power buffing wheels, power polishing pads and other polishing systems. Laser etched logo and size will withstand sanding and filing during fretwork.
