Sourced from the vineyards of the Douro Valley, this wine breaks with traditional conventions to offer a fresher, fruitier and particularly accessible style. The wine is aged for around two years in oak barrels and stainless steel vats, a combination that preserves the fruits freshness whilst adding roundness and complexity. On tasting, Noval Black reveals a deep colour with purplish-red highlights. The nose opens with intense notes of pepper, cocoa and cherry stone. On the palate, the texture is full-bodied and indulgent, supported by refreshing acidity and tannins that are present yet elegant. The long, expressive finish prolongs the spicy and fruity aromas.
