This is an excellent A/V receiver. We are using it in 7.1.4 mode with an external Amp to drive the two extra speakers. Sounds and works perfect! Very versatile and highly recommended value for the price.

Sound is nice and broad. Full of details even at lower volume. Dirac makes a difference but it sounded clean without it. Perfect balance of performance and value. You will notice the step up in performance.

I purchased this to replace an 9-10 year old Onkyo. It was still performing just fine, but it was aged. This is such a massive upgrade over my old receiver.
