Patagonia Better Sweater 1/4 Zip jacket is made from 100% recycled polyester wool, warm and medium weight, dyed with a low impact process that significantly reduces the use of dyes, energy and water compared to conventional dyeing methods. Patagonia is based on a highly sustainable system: one that uses fewer resources, wastes less and better protects people's health. Patagonia recycles used soft drink bottles, manufacturing waste that cannot be used, and worn garments (including its own) into polyester fibres to produce new products. The use of recycled polyester reduces dependence on oil as a source of raw materials and toxic emissions from incinerators.Patagonia holds the Fair Trade Certificate, which is committed to helping clothes makers get closer to a living wage. For each piece of certified fair trade clothing, they pay a premium that workers can use to improve their communities and better their standard of living. The workers decide how to use the money.
