Penderyn Myth is a no-age-statement single malt Welsh whisky, matured in a selection of ex-bourbon and rejuvenated oak casks. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 70 cl bottle, Myth is non-chill-filtered, has no added colour and carries a Kosher certificate. As part of Penderyn’s Dragon range, Myth pays homage to Welsh folklore with a modern, sustainable twist-lighter glass and reduced carton weight ensure premium presentation with a smaller environmental footprint. TASTING NOTES - Nose, Myth bursts with fresh citrus notes-zesty lemon and orange peel-woven through green apple and pear drop sweetness. The merest hint of tropical fruit (think ripe mango or pineapple) edges in, balanced by soft vanilla and a whisper of malted barley. TASTING NOTES - Palate, The palate opens with bright orchard fruit-crisp apple, juicy pear-before settling into a creamy honeyed sweetness. As those mixed fruits continue to dominate, a touch of refreshing bitterness emerges, akin to candied grapefruit pith, giving Myth a lively interplay between sweet and zesty. SERVE - Best enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped or Glencairn glass at room temperature to appreciate its delicate aromas. A few drops of spring water will open out citrus and oak layers, or serve over one large ice cube for a chilled, softer dram that still delivers its core fruit character.
