Port Charlotte 2013 PMC:01 9 Year Old Pomerol Wine Cask

70cl / 54.50% - Port Charlotte PMC:01 is the sixth release in Islay distillery Bruichladdich's Cask Exploration series. The 2013 vintage was made from Scottish Concerto barley peated to 40ppm which was distilled and then popped into first-fill bourbon barrels for 4 years. In 2017, spirit was re-casked into Pomerol wine casks from Bordeauxs Right Bank. It's the first time that Port Charlotte spirit has matured in Pomerol cask and it brings all kinds of sweet and tart dark berries and leather notes to the single malt Scotch whisky.
