The spikes simply screw into a preformed hole inside your horse's shoe, made by your farrier. All our spikes require a standard 3/8" Whitworth preformed hole.We recommend that you choose the best spike for the ground - soft or hard - and your performance requirements. We recommend using a rounded head on the inside edge of the shoe to avoid injury from opposite leg strikes.Your cleat kit should contain a variety of different shaped cleats to suit your horse's needs, a tap to clean the cleat hole threads before use, a wrench and cleat plugs.
