The Pro-Ject Automat A1 is a fully automatic turntable which faithfully reproduces your vinyl records with precise tracking and low electrical distortion. It features an 8.3-inch aluminium tonearm with a pre-adjusted Ortofon OM10 cartridge mounted on a stylish and dampening wooden chassis. This combination of materials and components ensures fast response and meticulous attention to sonic detail capturing transients and microdynamics. At the core of the A1s elegant design is a mechanical system keeping the use of electronic components to a minimum to avoid interference. One of the limited electronic components is added for your convenience; a speed control switch for easy alternation between 33 and 45 RPM. The built-in switchable phono preamp further enhances versatility enabling direct connection to any line input even without a dedicated phono input. Like all Pro-Ject turntables the A1 has been crafted with care and attention in Europe by experts.
