Once playing the mechanism disengages to avoid noise and interference in the audio signal. The A1.2 is quick to set up with a factory-fitted Ortofon OM10 cartridge and built-in phono preamp for easy connection to most modern systems. You can even switch between 33 and 45 RPM electronically meaning its compatible with a wide range of records. Compared to the original A1 however the A1.2 adds a die-cast aluminium platter improved drive system carbon fibre-reinforced headshell and silicone-damped feet all designed to enhance stability reduce resonance and deliver cleaner more accurate sound.
