Rioja Vega Crianza 2022

Rioja Vega Crianza is a red wine from La Rioja produced by the Rioja Vega winery. This wine is a blend of Tempranillo (80%), Grenache (15%) and Mazuelo (5%). Different types of grapes are used for the production of Rioja Vega Crianza from the cellar' own farms. Once the grapes are harvested and transported to the winery, a process of fermentation that lasts about ten days takes place. After this period, it is macerated with its skins for 18 days and then goes through malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 28º. Rioja Vega Crianza finally ages in American oak barrels for about a year. Movements take place twice during this time. Finally, Rioja Vega Crianza rests another six months in bottle before going to market. Bodega Rioja Vega was established over 125 years ago, even before La Rioja. The philosophy of this winery is to preserve the typicality of their wines despite advances in recent years.
