The Fabriano Classico 5 paper is 300gsm, mould-made, 50% cotton, surface sized, acid-free and has a Hot Press (satinata) finish. The Fat Pad is spiral wire bound on the short edge with 25 sheets per pad. This high quality Italian watercolour paper is often recommended in art magazines by members of the Royal Society of Botanical Artists. The smooth, strong white surface makes it the most popular pad for botanical art and illustration. The paper is also available in full sheets. Fabriano 5 paper has changed permanently because of changes to the machine used to produce it. The surface texture is a bit less smooth and the sizing has changed slightly.
