These rods are made of 19 thin, maple dowels held together by a rubber handle. They offer a powerful attack and rebound. The outer dowels are rounded at the tips, which has a positive effect on the attack, rebound and definition. An important tip when using rods is to play them for about *30 minutes before your performance to break up the lacquer layer and separate the dowels from each other. These rods are equipped with a black rubber ring which you can slide up or down to adjust the attack. The further the ring is moved towards the tip, the harder the attack.
