The Roland HPD-20 Handsonic is an exceptionally elaborate drum pad with no less than 13 playing pads. Select drum sounds from the high-grade SuperNATURAL collection and assign them to each of these extensively adjustable pads. No less than 850 internal instruments are at your disposal, with an additional 500 user instruments. You can add the latter yourself, by means of a USB stick with WAV files. The Handsonic is a great asset for producers, DJs and drummers! Influencing Sounds with the HPD-20 The two largest pads are both capable of producing tonal variations, depending on where you strike them. All thirteen pads can be used to influence each other's sounds. You can dampen the tone of one pad by pressing another, or use one pad to adjust another pad's pitch. As such, the Handsonic HPD-20 can be used to create life-like drum and percussion parts. It's also possible to adjust your sounds by moving your hand over the D-Beam controller. The Connectors of the Handsonic You can use the Handsonic's USB connector to send audio signals to your Mac or PC, or to control virtual instruments. Recordings, as well as user kits, can be directly stored on a USB stick and It's possible to connect an external pad, a cymbal or a hi-hat controller to the Handsonic. Naturally, the HPD-20 is equipped with a solid line audio output so it can be connected to a mixer, for instance.
