Full-bodied aged rum from Costa Rica - At Ron Centenario, we craft premium Costa Rican aged rums, which gain their complex profiles from the natural landscape. You can find us at 9 degrees north latitude; the location of the only ageing cellar in Costa Rica. 9 degrees north latitude - We are deeply proud to be the only rum in Costa Rica that has been “aged by nature.” Our unique, premium aged rum matures in our exceptional rum cellar, which is surrounded by an inter-urban biological corridor. This boasts exceptional biodiversity, and naturally provides the perfect conditions (with just the right balance of freshness and humidity) for rum maturation. Exceptional Gran Reserva rum - The Ron Centenario Gran Reserva 20 represents the best of our traditional, continuous ageing system. It is aged in American white oak barrels (which previously contained Scotch whisky), with rums ranging from 6 to 20 years old. It boasts a softness and elegance, which make its signature notes of oak, red fruits, citrus notes of orange and a subtle vanilla stand out. Sustainable Costa Rican rums - To ensure the long-term protection of our world-renowned forests, we produce our luxury dark rums using 99.98% solar energy and a portable water well. Our bottles are also made with recycled materials, cotton cases and vegetable varnishes, to ensure minimal environmental impact. Innovative and impactful - At Ron Centenario, we are deeply committed to sustainability and preserving Costa Rica’s exceptional forests. That’s why we take part in programmes such as Nature’s Godparent and are in alliance with Rescue Center Costa Rica.
