HackyPi is a plug-in USB security research and coding board built around the RP2040 Dual-Core ARM Cortex-M0+ processor - the same chip used in the Raspberry Pi Pico. Plug it into any USB Type-A port and it appears as a mass storage drive with no drivers to install. Power comes directly from USB - no batteries or external supply required. Designed for ethical hacking education, coding practice, and security research on your own devices only. Compatible with Windows 10/11, macOS, and Linux - no drivers required. Supports Python (CircuitPython and MicroPython), C/C++ via HidLibrary, and any language capable of generating HID-compatible USB payloads. On-board MicroSD card slot supports data logging and payload storage (MicroSD card not included; FAT32 format recommended). Not compatible with Android, iOS, or Chrome OS. Open-source build-your-own platform - not a pre-loaded tool. Basic coding knowledge needed. Getting started - three steps: (1) Hold the Boot button on HackyPi while plugging into USB - the device mounts as a storage drive called RPI-RP2. (2) Drag and drop your .uf2 firmware or Python script directly onto the drive. (3) Unplug and replug without holding Boot - HackyPi reboots and runs your script automatically.
