Scarpa Gecko Women's Approach Shoes

The Scarpa Gecko women's shoes are Scarpa's most technical approach shoes. The upper is water-resistant suede to withstand the abuse of rocky terrain, but still molds to the foot for a glove-like fit. A lace-to-toe closure system is super adaptable, whether you want to tighten it for technical terrain or pull it back for more casual wear, and it also adapts to a variety of foot shapes. The rubber toe cap is overlapped, protecting the upper and midsole from abrasion. The Gecko features a hybrid construction: it has a durable plate in the rearfoot for structure and torsional stability, and extends into the forefoot for maximum flexibility and responsiveness. Dual density EVA midsole balances support with cushioning, suitable for moderate to long approaches with a backpack. The new Presa outsole has a medium density compressed EVA midsole with a solid and compact look. The outsole is made of SuperGum compound, capable of combining extraordinary grip and durability.
