The Sealey AK6902 is a 2-piece specialist socket set designed for removing and refitting gland nuts on Piezo-style diesel injectors, covering the 17mm and 18mm sizes commonly found on Volkswagen Group, Mercedes, and BMW vehicles. Manufactured from high-strength chrome molybdenum, these sockets feature specially reduced outer dimensions compared to standard gland nut sockets - 23mm outer diameter on the 17mm socket and 24mm on the 18mm - allowing access in the restricted space around modern diesel injectors. The 63mm length further aids reach in tight engine bays where clearance is limited. The 8mm slot cut into each socket allows secure engagement with top-mounted injector pipes, preventing the socket from slipping off during use.
