In 1969, Seiko released the world’s first automatic chronograph with both a vertical clutch and a column wheel, called the Seiko Speedtimer. One piece from the 6139 Speedtimer series gained fame when NASA astronaut Colonel William Pogue wore it on a Skylab mission, earning it the nickname 'Pogue. This modern recreation features a vivid yellow dial, red second hand, and subdial minute hand at 6 o’clock. It has Lumibrite spots for dark conditions, a blue and red aluminium bezel, and a tapered bracelet. Powered by a V192 solar chronograph calibre, it charges in natural and artificial light, accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month, with a 6-month power reserve.
