The pre-CBS Fender Stratocasters has always cultivated the mythical image of the brand while maintaining the appeal for its greatest fans. In early 1964, Fender began producing its Strat pickups based on a grey flatwork inner plate, and these pickups became known to have a particularly punchy sound as well as an increased output level. Joe has once again teamed up with Custom Shop Seymour Duncan to deliver the magical sound of one of his favorite instruments. The Joe Bonamassa signature Greenburst Stratocaster pickup set is designed from the exact wiring of the corresponding era and an Alnico 5 non-aligned pole magnet. The grey bottom plate is printed with Joe's signature, and the first 500 sets are accompanied by a Limited Edition Custom packaging containing a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Joe and Seymour W. Duncan.
