The power of the Invader comes from the combination of specially wound coils, three large ceramic magnets and its oversized metal oxide pole pieces. These unique pieces expand the entire magnetic field and frequency spectrum, which is why every note played by an invader sounds so rich and massive. The ceramic magnets add depth and clarity, while the large hexagonal caps provide a harmonious balance between the strings. The Invader microphone offers the thickest and deepest bass frequency response of any Syemour manufactured passive microphone. Chords sound almost subsonic at lower settings, but balance out well with the crisp highs, leaving everything beautifully defined. While the Invader Bridge acts hard and aggressive, the humbucker pickup of the Invader neck is surprisingly warm and soft, creating a thick crunch and a whining sustain. Handmade at the Santa Barbara (California) factory, the Invader features three large ceramic magnets, oversized metal oxide poles, nickel silver base plate, 4-core conductor wire for diverse wiring options, and is vacuum wax coated for creak-free performance. The Invader model is available as a passive and active version for 6, 7 and 8 strings.
