Siepi 2021 - Mazzei

Siepi, owned by the Mazzei family since 1435, has always been a model farm, still managed today with the same respect. A unique location, a particular microclimate, the anticipation in the early 1980s to plant Merlot as the ideal grape variety to accompany Sangiovese in a very particular terroir produce a wine perfectly balanced between elegance, power and complexity. The Siepi continues a trend towards more finesse and nuance. Crème de cassis, lavender, spice, liquorice and plum blend effortlessly in the glass. The flavours are bright, bold and punchy. It is rich and concentrated, but not at all heavy. Impressive!
