This Smeg Concert Classic range cooker has three separate oven cavities, so a tray of brownies can bake in the 61-litre main oven while the tall second oven, with nine shelf positions, works through batches of scones. Both use Smeg's Circulaire system, where a fan behind a circular heating element keeps warm air moving around the cavity, so smells and tastes don't wander from one shelf to the next. This is handy when two very different dishes are in at once.The gas hob carries five burners on cast iron supports, topped by a 4000 Watts central wok burner for a fast stir-fry. Automatic ignition lights them with one push, and a thermocouple shuts off the gas if a flame blows out. Both large ovens run from 50°C to 245°C, with the separate grill compartment reaching 260°C for sausages under a fan grill.
