If your pipe or existing fittings measure 50mm and 40mm then this product is not compatible and you will require 50mm and 40mm pushfit or compression fittings Solvent weld reducer designed to fit into a larger solvent weld fitting (they cannot be inserted directly into a pipe) and then accept a smaller solvent weld pipe.
