In 2014, bySommer Denmark began cooperation with Dam Things, bySommer presented the idea of redesigning the Goodluck Troll in a ceramic material, but still maintain the characteristics of the Goodluck Troll. It´s time to celebrate our everyday hero! Everyday heroes are all the people who each make a huge effort in our daily lives. Let´s celebrate the everyday heroes who solve the daily tasks and problems. The small and big ones that we often take for granted and forget to say thank you for. Everyday heroes who walk among us every day! They are everybody´s “Everyday Superhero” and they deserve a tribute of appreciation. This collection of Goodluck Trolls celebrate our heroes, but also fit perfectly as an occasional gift. This Goodluck Troll was created in corporation with Selfridges on Oxford Street in London. The British are known for their love for football, Fish & Chips, black caps, tea, their castles and for being so sweet and polite. The Goodluck Troll is dressed in the colors of the Union Jack Flag, which dates back to 1606 when England and Scotland became united under the same monarch. When the Goodluck Troll came to England in the 1960´s after it creator Thomas Dam began producing the troll in rubber, the Danish export of bacon and butter was already widespread. A saying arose and it became quite popular that now the British had been invaded by “another Dam thing from Denmark”. Whether you are British, fancy the British or just like the colors of this little troll, this troll will do what it does best - bring lots of happiness and good luck. The mission is to turn Thomas Dams world -famous toy into a design icon that fits in every modern home. Trolls fans are now able to have a fashionable memory of their childhood as a design object in their house.
