Champagne Taittinger’s origins date back to 1734 when the original House was founded by Jacques Fourneaux. Taittinger is one of the few top Champagne Houses actively owned, and run, by the family named on the label. An exciting and stylish cuvée from the Taittinger family, the easy drinking softness that a touch of sweetness brings makes this a perfect wine to enjoy late into the evening. Not quite as dry as Brut, but not sweet by any means, Nocturne is elegant and beautifully balanced, with soft, mellow orchard fruit characters and a lingering, elegant finish. A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir & 25% Pinot Meunier - The high portion of Chardonnay is a hallmark of Taittinger The Nocturne 'Sec' cuvee has double the dosage of Taittinger Brut Reserve NV. The wine's complexity and roundness comes from being bottle-aged for four years in the 4th century cellars. A perfect after dinner Champagne or as a wedding cake toast.
