Champagne Taittinger’s origins date back to 1734 when the original House was founded by Jacques Fourneaux. Taittinger is one of the few top Champagne Houses actively owned, and run, by the family named on the label. Prélude is a wonderfully seductive cuvée made solely from fruit grown in Grand Cru classified vineyards. A Champagne with the consistency of a Non-Vintage, but the depth and complexity of a great Vintage. A blend of 50% Chardonnay from the Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs and 50% Pinot Noir from Grand Cru villages in the Montagne de Reims. 4 years ageing on its lees in the 4th Century cellars produces a wine with the elegant Taittinger style, a creamy mousse, fresh floral aromas and a long finish with touches of ripe orchard fruit. An award winning aperitif. Delicious with fine white fish such as Dover sole.
