Released as part of Taylors Historical Collection, the design of this bottle is known as a mallet-cylinder, and if you're into the evolution of the humble glass bottle, it's really rather fascinating. This mallet style was common around the 1750s, after progressing from the more bulbous shape of older hand-blown glass, but before bottle necks became longer, to resemble the style of wine bottle that we are familiar with today.
