Taylors Pass Sauvignon Blanc 2023 - Villa Maria

The Taylors Pass vineyard is located on the north bank of the Awatere River in southern Marlborough, on stony gravel, silt and clay soils. This elegant Sauvignon Blanc reveals a vibrant and expressive bouquet, blending aromas of fresh garden peas and blackcurrants against a backdrop of fresh herbs such as coriander. Then comes an exotic touch of lime, passion fruit, lychee and delicate floral nuances. On the palate, concentrated flavours of jalapeño and lemongrass reveal themselves, with a lively finish of lime zest and a hint of flint, supported by a chalky texture. It pairs perfectly with fresh seafood, goat's cheese and melon.
