The Famous Grouse Smoky Black replaces The Black Grouse with the name giving more away of what changes this particular blend. More peated malt whiskies, including a rare version of Glenturret, are employed with exceptional grain whiskies to produce a richer, lightly smoky and smooth flavour. Rich, round and full flavour, including spice and dried fruits. The slightly smokey sensation is encouraged through the oak. ### Product Description The eponymous Red Grouse has been on the bottle since 1869 which would explain why it must be one of the most recognised bottles out there and has been responsible for some cracking adverts. Whilst its spiritual home is at The Glenturret Distillery, the blend is, as you might expect, a closely kept secret. All we can get out of them is that the Malt whiskies Macallan and Highland Park are involved. Tasting Notes Rich, round and full flavour, including spice and dried fruits. A slightly smokey sensation is encouraged througn the oak.
