Thomastik Dynamo Violin D String Aluminium Wound

The Thomastik Dynamo Violin D String is suited to orchestral chamber and solo violinists wanting broad tone and responsive playability. This model has aluminium winding paired with a synthetic core and medium tension for a balanced playing feel. Its design offers a larger diameter and less brilliance than the alternative silver-wound Dynamo D string while producing a coarser-grained bow sound. The aluminium-wound D string is particularly useful if you want to improve your violins response or address a wolf tone on the G string. Its wide dynamic range also lets you vary your sound colour across different playing intensities giving you plenty of room for expressive phrasing. Designed for 4/4 violins this Dynamo string is also intended to work effectively across both older and newer instruments
