Thomastik PI65 Double Bass B String

The Thomastik Peter Infeld Orchestra Double Bass B (H) String 3/4 is suited to players needing a firm confident low extension with plenty of clarity and projection. Its centred tonal core helps you keep definition in the low register which can be especially helpful when youre supporting a full section. The spiral rope core offers a flexible response under the bow while the tungsten/chrome winding brings extra weight and articulation to the sound. With a tension of 30.7 kg it strikes a balance between projection and control offering the firmness you need without feeling overly rigid. Its a dependable choice if you want a low H that speaks clearly and sits securely within an orchestral or ensemble setting.
