The Aster Dandy is a dwarf variety of Symphyotrichum, guaranteed to captivate any visitors with its bright lemon yellow centre and bubble gum pink, daisy-like flower heads. This dazzling hardy perennial will stand out in wildfire gardens, rockeries, boarders and patio containers, where it will attract the pollinating insects! Aster Dandy is a maintenance free, compact specimen that will flower from mid-Summer, well into autumn! Plant Michaelmas Daisy plants into fertile, moist, well drained soil, and situate them in full sun or semi shade. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting. Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to ensure an endless supply of flowers. Deadhead faded aster flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
