This PV Boost is an innovative way to lower your water heating costs by utilising the excess energy your solar panels generate. With a single clamp fitted by your household meter, the system can wirelessly send real-time information about how much solar energy you’re exporting. Whenever surplus energy greater than 100W is detected, PV Boost automatically adjusts and redirects this excess power to your immersion heater.PV Boost continuously regulates the energy flow to match changing levels of solar export throughout the day, so your water is heated efficiently using only the surplus power. Once the water reaches the temperature set on your immersion thermostat, the system stops supplying extra energy to prevent waste. If additional hot water is required, it can be supplemented using traditional heating system or manually adjusted via the PV Boost controls.
